CONGRATULATIONS MONSE!!

1. Age: 28 

2. Profession: Biomedical Engineer (Medical Device Development)

3. When did you first start training at WOFB and how did you find out about us?
I got my Bachelor’s at FIU and every morning on my way to school I used to see a group of ladies running, I decided to join in 2022.

4. Tell us about your sports & fitness background: 
My fitness journey starts back in 2011 as a folk dancer in Mexico City, when I moved to Miami I continued dancing and also became a Peruvian folk dancer. After graduation my life became less active, I had the desire to start working out but I was missing the knowledge to do it on my own and the gym environment was intimidating… WOFB fitted as a glove for me as I have somebody guiding me through my workouts and I’ve been a happy member since then.

5. Favorite Exercise (or type of workout): Step Ups, Hip Thrust.

6. Least Favorite Exercise: Kettlebell Swings, Push Ups.

7. What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and overall fitness since starting WOFB? 
I have gained a lot muscle and strength, my endurance has improved, I’ve become more flexible and my confidence level it’s been great. I always feel motivated to train with this amazing group of women of all ages and backgrounds. Big thank you to Coach Lorraine and Rima for always pushing us to give our best. 

Congratulations Monse! Your journey from folk dancing to conquering WOFB workouts has been nothing short of amazing. Watching you grow stronger, more confident, and consistently push past your limits has been such an inspiration. Your positivity, dedication, and willingness to challenge yourself, even through exercises you don’t love, truly sets you apart. We’re incredibly proud of the progress you’ve made, and it’s been a privilege to watch you thrive alongside this amazing group of women. Keep shining!
